Hello and welcome to my web site. This site is primarily intended for editors and public relations professionals, but of course, anyone can browse. I've been writing since 1990 and my first sale was a short poem for $15. I was so very pleased, you'd think it was $15 million! As far as I was concerned, that little check meant there was no turning back.

Early in my writing career, I did a story on quilting. I interviewed a woman who had produced 69 quilts over the course of 30 years--an amazing number. As she spoke, I became completely immersed in the world of quilting. It was easy for her to talk about a subject so close to her heart. Two hours later we were still talking about quilting.

It didn't take long to think of an opening line for the story. I began that article with one simple sentence. "When you love something, it shows."

I'd like to think that same phrase sums up my fascination with travel and seeing the world. Call it wanderlust, or itchy feet, I definitely have the affliction. Having the opportunity to write about my experiences makes it all the better.

I began writing articles about other subjects, but with each passing year I completed more travel features. I still occasionally delve into bridal and wedding planning, health and other topics, but my main focus is travel. For me, re-sales make sense, so I work hard to sell my stories more than once. I'm proud to say I have a Swiss rail story which has sold ten times! I have another story, on travel scams, currently topping that at twelve sales.
